## 概要

単一のアーチという解が技術上の主張であった。航路に橋脚を立てるかわりに、二十八メートルの一径間を、泥に打ち込んだ一万二千本の木杭で支える。それが四世紀もっている。当初から傾斜路には二列の店が並び、頂に柱廊がある。その賃料が橋の費用を賄った。西岸の市場は橋より古く、日曜を除く毎朝、今も魚と野菜を売る。

## 見どころ

渡るなら早朝か夜遅くがよい。十時から十八時までは、写真機を構えた人の列がのろのろ動くだけである。朝七時のリアルト市場は訪問のもう半分であり、橋がある理由そのものである。橋自体を撮るなら、下のリーヴァ・デル・ヴィンか一号線の水上バスが、橋の上からは得られないものを与えてくれる。
