## Overview

The beach faces southeast, which gives it consistent surf and a strong sweep at the southern end that catches out visitors every summer. Swim between the red and yellow flags; the patrolled zone moves with the conditions. Behind the sand, Campbell Parade runs on cafés, surf shops and a Sunday market, and the grassy park at the north end is the quiet corner.

## Highlights

The Bondi to Coogee coastal walk starts at the south end and runs six kilometres past Tamarama and Bronte, about two hours at a stroll. Bondi Icebergs, the ocean pool cut into the rocks below the clubhouse, is open to the public for a small fee. Sculpture by the Sea lines the same clifftop path each spring, from late October into early November.
