## Overview

The name means dragon's jaw, from the shape of the limestone teeth at the top, and the paths thread between them through planted beds — this is a municipal garden rather than a wild hill, and it does not pretend otherwise. From the highest platform the whole Muong Hoa valley opens up with Fansipan opposite when the cloud allows. There is a small ethnic-dance stage partway up that runs on a posted schedule.

## Highlights

This is the one viewpoint in Sapa reachable without a vehicle, which is its main argument. Go late in the afternoon for the light down the valley. The steps are uneven and there are a lot of them; the orchid garden partway is a reasonable turnaround.
