## Overview

The strip holds the beach clubs that made Ibiza's reputation — Ushuaïa and Hï face each other across the road — and the hotels behind them are built for the same trade. The water is shallow and calm for a long way out, which is why families use the northern end in the morning before the sound systems start. The airport is four kilometres away, so aircraft cross the beach all day.

## Highlights

The north end near Ibiza Town is quieter and has the sea without the sound; the south end is the club end. Day tickets for the big clubs are sold online and are cheaper than at the door. If you want a beach rather than an event, Cala Comte or Ses Salines are twenty minutes away and are a different island.
