## Overview

The dragon is modelled on the Ly dynasty form and runs the full 666 metres of the span, lit at night by 2,500 LEDs that change colour. The fire and water show lasts about fifteen minutes and is genuinely a spectacle rather than a trickle — the head throws flame in bursts, then water, and the crowd on the east bank gets wet if the wind turns. It is a working road bridge the rest of the week.

## Highlights

Saturday and Sunday at nine, and be in place by half past eight; the bridge closes to traffic and both banks fill. Stand on the east side for the fire and back from the head unless you want the water. The riverside promenade south of it is the calm alternative on any other night.
