## 概述

这里不是颂扬雅典民主之处，而是运作民主之处：议事厅、铸币所、法庭与官员办事处皆设于此，发掘出的基址均有标识。阿塔罗斯柱廊在一九五〇年代按原设计重建，如今为遗址博物馆，最能说明柱廊的用途。赫菲斯托斯神庙得以留存，是因为七世纪时改作教堂。

宜先看完整的赫菲斯托斯神庙，再按平面图沿基址向下走。阿塔罗斯柱廊博物馆藏有陶片，上面刻着被提名放逐者的姓名，其中包括地米斯托克利。此处远比卫城清静，且含在联票内。
