## Overview

Through exchange with Tang, court and official dress was ordered in the mainland style, and luxuries such as silk increased.

## Key garments and style

Officials wore the round-collar robe (danryeong), their rank shown by colour — purple, crimson, blue and so on. Tang-style loose forms entered women's dress too, while common people still wore the native jeogori with baji or chima.

## Transition

With the rise of Goryeo, dress grew more refined under a Buddhist aristocratic culture, and Mongol (Yuan) influence was later added.
