## 概述

这一世纪在宫廷炫示与清教徒克制之间摆荡，法国宫廷流行日渐主导。

## 主要服饰

早期（骑士派）装束有宽大的蕾丝领、开缝的紧身上衣与宽檐帽；女子着柔和、低腰的长袍。一六六六年，查理二世引入长背心（vest）——即男子三件套（外衣、马甲、及膝短裤）之祖；清教徒则偏好素净的深色布料与亚麻衣领。

## 演变与过渡

十八世纪的乔治时代，把这套装与曼图亚长袍（mantua）推为社交装的主流。
