## Overview

In this age of Hyksos rule and division, dress kept the Middle Kingdom pattern while taking foreign influence.

## Key garments and style

The linen shendyt and sheath dress remained the basis, but the vertical loom and new textiles and designs are thought to have arrived through the Hyksos.

## Transition

When the New Kingdom restored unity, these techniques prepared the height of fine, pleated linen.
